I painted this image from a photo of one of my favorite places. I used a lot of Ultramarine Blue and Cerulian Blue for the snow and Alizeran Crimson and Ultramarine Blue for the row of trees. The trees in the front are many shades of Cadmium Red and Orange.

It will be hanging on a red wall in a dining room. Stunning!

It's Lily of the Valley season! What a beautiful fragrance. So delicate and petite, and the leaves soft and luminous.

This painting created with a limited pallet using. Alizeran Crimson, Veridian, Veridian with Cerulian Blue, Cadmium Red Light. with a little Alizeran mixed in and just a touch of Prussian Blue. Oh yeah, and of course Titanuim White. That's it only these 5 colors.

Amazing!

I was trying to make this a painting about the feeling of lilacs and not exactly what I was looking at.

I used Mauve Blue Shade and Alizeran Crimson for the lilac flowers. Colors used in the rest of the painting- Veridian, Transparent Oxide Red, Cad Yellow Light, Cad Red, Cobalt Blue I guess a little Yellow Ocher.
